First day cutting glass

I had been so excited to take this course since first hearing about it over the summer.  My anticipation turned more to nervousness as the first day of class approached. I'm an art major, and practice a variety of art forms, but mechanically inclined--- I am not. The tools worried/ worry me a little, but I survived the first day of cutting and I'm even more excited to learn more!  Until next time...

  1. You did great in class, Marisa. As with anything we do as artists, you'll only get better with practice. Please don't be intimidated, I'm hopeful this is a positive learning experience for everyone and we will all be going at our own paces. I know you'll do great! The fun is just beginning!

    1. Thanks for teaching this class! I've been so looking forward to it. I'm enjoying the little victories within this process and actually even enjoying the mishaps. I love how taking these art classes seem to rejuvenate me in the classroom. If we're excited about what teaching -- the students will "catch the excitement " too.
