First steps of first stained glass design

Exciting day ... We received the cartoon of our first design and were to choose our glass colors.
So many colors and textures to ponder- heaven for an art teacher. I finally settled on multiple textures  and my color scheme consisted of royal blue, green and teal. I'm still contemplating the contrasting color for the corners and center circle--maybe cranberry or sky blue.
The cutting started slow, but got better as the afternoon progressed.  I learned that I needed to be more accurate with my cuts and more consistent when I''m scoring the inside of my outlines.  I so much want to learn this craft! I've loved stained glass for a long time.
I've picked up a pistol grip tool for class this week and looking forward to continuing my design.

    1. Thanks. I really like all the variations of orange that you chose as well. The different textures and levels of transparency and opaqueness give it extra interest. It always amazes me to see how unique even a very structured art lesson can turn out within a class.
